CT High School Outstanding Arts Awards Recipients Honored

Two local high school students honored at CAS Banquet

CONNECTICUT HIGH SCHOOL OUTSTANDING ARTS AWARDS RECIPIENTS HONORED AT CAS BANQUET

Local students Camyrn Schilling and Allison Quinn, from Brookfield High School, were two of 286 top Connecticut seniors who excel in the arts that were honored at the Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS) High School Outstanding Arts Awards Banquet held on April 2nd at the Aqua Turf in Southington. The CAS Outstanding Arts Awards Banquet annually recognizes two seniors in each member high school for their outstanding ability in the performing or visual arts. The students are selected by their school to receive this honor. The banquet, with over 1,300 in attendance, is sponsored by Jostens, Horace Mann, the Department of Public Health, and the Connecticut National Guard. This year’s emcee was Tim Lammers of Fox 61 and the Keynote Speaker was Author and Columnist, Dr. Gina Barreca.

About the Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS) – The Connecticut Association of Schools serves Connecticut’s K-12 public and parochial schools in all areas of inter-school activity. CAS has emerged as an informed leader in Connecticut’s educational system, providing services to Connecticut’s schools in areas ranging from academics to athletics. The association represents approximately 900 schools in the state. The Connecticut Association of Schools is a non-profit organization located in Cheshire, Connecticut.
