Downed Power Lines Spark Brush Fire In Brookfield
First responders found that live power lines had triggered a brush fire at Grays Bridge Road in the area of Sandcut Road in Brookfield.
BROOKFIELD, CT — Firefighters extinguished a brush fire Monday morning.
The Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company got the call at 6:15 a.m. First responders found that live power lines had caused the blaze at Grays Bridge Road in the area of Sandcut Road. Once Eversource turned off the power, BVFC crews were able to put it out.
Firefighters remained on the scene for several hours assisting with traffic as repairs were made.
