Expect Heavy Traffic Delays Near Brookfield Town Center: Police

Milling of the​ roadway and paving of the new road surface​ in the area of the Brookfield Town Center​ is expected to cause "heavy delays."

BROOKFIELD, CT — Police are warning motorists to avoid driving in the Four Corners area, on Friday, Sept. 27, Saturday, Sept. 28 and Monday, Sept. 30.

Milling of the roadway and paving of the new road surface in the area of the Brookfield Town Center is expected to cause "heavy delays," police advised on social media. The majority of traffic will be restricted to one lane.

"All businesses in this area are open and certainly, welcome you!," the Brookfield police posted. "However, we ask that through traffic avoid the area to reduce congestion and increase work zone safety."

Milling and paving will start at 07:00 a.m. and end at approximately 3:00 p.m.
