BROOKFIELD, CT — Here's the latest details on Brookfield's very rainy Mother's Day weekend forecast. But once we get past this weekend, we're finally looking at a nice upcoming weather week. We're looking at plenty of sunshine next week and temps finally into the 70s. But before we get there, we could be dealing with a cold, wind-soaked rain, which could lead to another inch or two of rain.
"Lots of clouds and some sunshine today with our temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s," says local meteorologist Gil Simmons of WTNH. "More clouds tonight leading to rain moving in on Saturday. The rain will be moving in very slowly starting around 8 AM western Connecticut and it might take until 3-4 PM eastern Connecticut. Heavy rain Saturday night, ending early on Sunday. Not a washout, but a few scattered showers possible for Mother's Day.
