Stargazers are in for a treat tonight as the full Buck Moon will make an appearance on Tuesday night. The moon will be at its fullest at 6:57 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, but won't be visible to North Americans until after 8 p.m. on the East Coast.

The Old Farmer’s Almanac and Slooh’s telescopes in the Canary Islands and Chile will capture the spectacular sight live as their astronomers share interesting facts, folklore and history surrounding the July full Buck Moon.
The Buck Moon got its name because bucks begin to grow new antlers at time of year, The Farmer's Almanac stated. It's also referred to as the Thunder Moon due to frequent thunderstorms during the month of July, The Old Farmer’s Almanac said.
