Over 5,000 Without Power in Brookfield

UPDATE: As of 9:45 p.m. Eversource is reporting 5,030 power outages in Brookfield, which represents 59 percent of the town.

BROOKFIELD, CT — Utility company Eversource reported that 4,758 customers were without power in town as Tropical Storm Isaias moved across the state at around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

The worst of the storm has moved through Connecticut, but not before leaving a big impact. Widespread tree damage was reported, but rain and flooding was less of a worry thanks to the storm's quick speed.
