New Assisted Care, Memory Care Facility Proposed in Brookfield
The facility would consist of 89 assisted living units and 26 memory care units.

BROOKFIELD, CT — A new assisted-living complex has been proposed for development on Federal Road, the News Times is reporting.
The facility would consist of 89 assisted living units and 26 memory care units and would be built at 291 Federal Road, about a half-mile from The Village at Brookfield Common, another assisted living community. The developer, Washington State's Columbia Pacific Advisors, will present their plans for the three-story building before residents at a community meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in Room 133 of Town Hall.
The plans call for the complex to be built on a 4.08 acre lot. The assisted living facility would be a mix of studios, one bedroom and two bedroom units. The memory care unit, designed for those suffering from Alzheimer's disease or dementia, would include both private and semi-private units. A salon, theater and van to take residents on errands will also be part of the proposal.
