Police Advise of Road Closures, Wires Down

BROOKFIELD, CT — The police are advising that Hillandale Road is closed at the intersection of Broadview Road due to a utility pole with wires down in the roadway.

The wires in the road are still fully energized and are extremely dangerous. Emergency crews are on location and the area has been closed.

Additionally, a tree is across the roadway and is resting on the power lines in the area of #9 Broadview Road. There is a closure in place at this location as well.

The Bookfield PD is advising motorists to avoid Hillandale Road and Broadview Road until further notice.

Eversource has been notified and they are responding.
