Rep. Harding Joins Brookfield Village in Downtown Groundbreaking
Rep. Harding, who represents the 107th district of Brookfield, Bethel and Danbury, recently joined the downtown groundbreaking ceremony.
BROOKFIELD, CT – Brookfield’s Four Corners, located at Federal and Station Roads, is emerging as a new, robust growth and development area for the town. As the new “Town Center District,” Brookfield Village will include sidewalks, a widened street lined with new lighting, fresh landscaping, retail and food services and other services including medical offices, spas and salons, and professional offices.
State Representative and Brookfield native Stephen Harding (R-107) joined the groundbreaking ceremony which took place earlier this month, where expressed hope for Brookfield’s economic revitalization.
“This is a great opportunity to finally provide a downtown area for everyone here in Brookfield,” said Rep. Harding, who supported the Four Corners Revitalization Plan to provide a downtown area for businesses and residents alike. “I particularly love that the village will be home to several new restaurants and retail stores at a primary location, where pedestrians can walk safely along our new sidewalks. It will be a vibrant place created by our local residents who care deeply for our town, and who have a local vision for what it’s going to be. I look forward to working with our local zoning boards and town officials on the construction going forward, and thank all our boards and countless volunteers for making this vision a reality.”
