Snow, Freezing Cold in Brookfield’s Weekend Forecast: Latest Updates
The first widespread snow of the season could impact our area this weekend and the coldest temps of the year are also forecast. BREAKING

BROOKFIELD, CT — Here we go Connecticut, some bitterly cold temps will arrive in time for this weekend and the chance for the state’s first widespread snow of the year may occur late Sunday and into Monday. It’s going to be a radical shift in temperatures this weekend with daytime highs slightly above freezing, which could set the stage for a snow storm late Sunday and Monday.
The first snowflakes could fall Sunday late afternoon but more steadier snow is expected after 10 p.m. and overnight, according to the National Weather Service. On Monday, the snow is likely to mix and change to plain rain at the coast, stay as a mix more inland, and in northern Connecticut remain all snow Monday.
Several areas of the state have seen some snow accumulation already but parts along the immediate coast have only seen a few flakes and no real accumulation. That could possibly change, but the storm is still several days away and as we know things can change daily with forecasts. No one is making any snowfall accumulation estimates as of right now.

Temps at night will be in the 20s at the coast and possibly in the teens in northern Connecticut.
