According to Gene Roberts, Post vice Commander, it is specifically designed to be a family, fun filled get together. The sight of operating Lionel model trains in a winter display, will entertain children of all ages, while the sound of antique music boxes and Christmas musical classics will fill the air. A scavenger hunt for the youngsters along with complimentary gifts will be part of the attraction. Boy and girl mannequins from Macy’s New York store front, once displayed in the 1940s, will be on exhibit in a traditional Christmas setting. Also, vintage toys dating back from the turn of the century to the 1950s, along with old time Christmas decorations will bring back memories of holidays past.

It’s all free and attendees will be treated to complimentary homemade Christmas cookies and assorted pastries, as well as cider and hot chocolate.
