Water Damage Displaces Brookfield Residents

BROOKFIELD, CT — An small apartment fire triggered a sprinkler system, and the resulting water damage has displaced some of the residents.

The Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company answered a fire and water alarm shortly before 4:00 Tuesday afternoon at 800 Federal Road. They discovered that a small kitchen fire had tripped the sprinkler head in one of the apartments. The resulting "significant" water damage has displaced some of the residents, according to the BVFC.

The American Red Cross was notified and the scene was turned over to the Brookfield Fire Marshal’s office.

Yesterday at 3:56 PM, BVFC was dispatched to a fire alarm/water flow alarm at 800 Federal Road.
