First, Mayor Joseph A. Carfora reminds residents that despite the sunny Independence Day ahead, "...we are still in the midst of a pandemic and for the safety of yourselves and our community, please follow the guidelines set forth by the CDC. Please wear face coverings and keep a minimum 6 feet distance between other people. This is a holiday that many gather together with family and friends, please enjoy their company responsibly."

And, as to parking, no beach pass stickers necessary; residents just need proof of residency with a photo ID, vehicle registration or similar.

Meanwhile, the town's public works department was out early Friday getting the beach ready for folks.
