All East Haven Kids Can 'Eat Like A President' This Weekend
President's Day weekend meal packs include presidential favorites, from pancakes to pizza, chicken to cheeseburgers. Pickup is Thursday.
EAST HAVEN, CT — Based on the list, it looks like President John Quincy Adams’ favorite food was fresh fruit. By comparison, modern-day presidents are fans of foods like hot dogs, pizza and cheeseburgers.
East Haven kids can “eat like a president” this weekend with meal packs filled with presidential foods.

"All these presidential favorites and more are included in the President’s Day weekend meal pack," according to the flyer from East Haven schools.

"The pack includes nutritious breakfast and lunch meals for five days," it reads, and, "All students are eligible to receive a President’s Day weekend meal pack."
Distribution is Thursday at East Haven High School food service entrance from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and at James Melillo Middle School, the front of the building, from 12:30 to 1: 30 p.m.
