'Luna' The Rabbit Has Found A New Home With Mr. McBurney

EAST HAVEN, CT - Good news for those wondering about the fate of Luna, a baby rabbit who has been under the care of the East Haven Animal Shelter.

Luna was adopted and is happy with her new owner, Warren McBurney.

McBurney, a World War II veteran and 1944 graduate of East Haven High School, adores the bunny. His daughter Gayle McBurney told Patch, "just like he loves Luna, he gives her treats, fresh vegetables and hay - they make a great pair."

The East Haven shelter reported 10 days ago that Luna’s previous owner had to give her up because the owner developed allergies. The shelter’s request for a new owner received an overwhelming response.
