Car Into Utility Pole Crash Closes Portion Of Burr Street: Cops
Police said the roll-over crash had firefighters working for 13 minutes to get the driver out of the car.
EAST HAVEN, CT — Burr Street is shut down between Haines Street and Gerrish Avenue, police said, as they are on the scene of a crash.
East Haven Police said a car hit a utility pole and rolled over coming to res on its side. Police said utility companies have been notified, but the street is shuttered.
Police said the East Haven Fire Department performed a 13-minute "extrication" getting the driver out of the car. Police said the driver was "alert and conscious" and taken to Yale New Haven Hospital with what appears to be non- life threatening injuries.
