Coronavirus Cases Extend East Haven Town Hall Closing To Dec. 7
After at least 4 positive COVID-19 cases at Town Hall, and an anticipated Nov. 30 reopening, the mayor has pushed the date to Dec. 7.

EAST HAVEN, CT — Mayor Joseph A. Carfora has extended the closure of Town Hall to the public through Dec. 7.
In a statement, Carfora said that due to confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in a limited, non-public area of Town Hall, the need for people exposed though close contact having to quarantine, and the "increasing risks of COVID-19 infections," the hall will be shuttered "with limited exceptions for essential services by appointment only."
Town Hall was first announced closed after an early November report of two positive cases there.
