East Haven 2020 Presidential Election: Trump's Vote Up From 2016

EAST HAVEN, CT - President Trump’s victory in Connecticut on Tuesday was in contrast to his performance in 2016, as his share of the vote fell from 40.93 percent then, to 40.57 percent now.

But it fell only very slightly; less than one percentage point.

So how did Trump's support in East Haven compare with his vote totals in 2016, when he was running against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton?

According to the Connecticut Secretary of State, Trump gained support in East Haven in 2020.

In 2016, he earned 6,867 votes compared to 7,488 votes in 2020.

Tuesday's vote climaxed a heated battle for control of the White House, unfolding during a pandemic that killed nearly a quarter of a million Americans before Election Day.
