East Haven 4th Of July Fireworks: 2019 Guide, Scheduled Time

EAST HAVEN, CT – July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around East Haven so you can start planning now.

Here's what's in store this July 4th in East Haven:

What: VVA Independence Day Fireworks/Beach Party Day

Where: East Haven Town Beach

When: June 29

Summary: The festivities will once again include another fun-filled day of food, music and live entertainment, which will begin at 12 noon and continue right up to launch time (approximately 9PM). The rain date, which will be limited entertainment and the fireworks, will be Monday July 1, 2019.

In addition to musical performances which will begin at noon, WPLR-FM 99.1 will be on the town beach adding to the entertainment.

There will be food vendors and concessionaires in the immediate area. As a reminder, street access to the beach will be limited beginning at 9 am. Cosey Beach Avenue will be closed from the intersection of Second Avenue to Philips Street. Similarly, Coe Avenue will be closed from the Bradford Street intersection to the beach.

The East Haven Police Department will be posting notices and directing motorists in and around the general vicinity of the town beach. Although the fireworks are presented in a cooperative effort with the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 484 and the Town of East Haven, the majority of funding is obtained from private businesses and some personal donations. To that end, donations may be mailed to VVA Fireworks 2019 c/o Mayor's Office, 250 Main Street, East Haven, CT 06512.
