East Haven Educators Get Vaccinated March 1-31: Superintendent
Erica Forti told the Board of Education Tuesday that details are being worked out as the state asks for patience with vaccine delivery.
EAST HAVEN, CT — Beginning Monday and continuing through until the end of the month, East Haven teachers will get the COVID-19 vaccine, schools Superintendent Erica Forti said.
In a meeting slated for Wednesday, the director of East Shore District Health and area school administrators and their towns' respective health directors will “brainstorm and talk further about the details” as officials wait for information on the “timeline for vaccine delivery,” Forti said.
During the Board of Education meeting Tuesday night, Forti said that all pre-kindergarten through 12th grade teachers and paraprofessionals as well as all early childhood and private school educators will get the vaccine.

She noted that the state had “asked that we remain patient as they are using the entire month of March to vaccinate” educators.
“So it could mean you get the vaccine March 1st but it could also mean you get the vaccine March 31,” she said.
