East Haven Fall Festival/Road Race Closures and Traffic Pattern Details

EAST HAVEN FALL FESTIVAL / FALL CLASSIC ROAD RACE

TRAFFIC PATTERN INFORMATION

The 2016 Fall Festival is being held on Friday, September 9th through Sunday, September 11th. The 2nd Annual Fall Classic Road Race will also be held on Saturday, September 10th. During these events, portions of the roadways will be closed to all traffic and only local traffic will be allowed to pass. Detour signs will be in place to assist motorists around the events. • East Haven Fall Classic 5K Road Race 2016 Details

FALL FESTIVAL
• Hemingway Ave (RTE 142) between Edward Street and Main Street will be closed to all thru traffic. River Street will also be closed to all thru traffic between Hemingway Avenue and Park Place.
• Hemingway Avenue north bound will be closed at the intersection with Dodge Avenue with access for local traffic only.
• Please be mindful of the detour signs on Thompson Avenue and Dodge Avenue to access points north and south of the Fall Festival.
• Temporary “No Parking Signs” will be in place on Park Pl (east side), River St (north side), Chidsey Ave (east side), and Edwards St (north side). Enforcement will take place during the dates of the Fall Festival.
• Handicap parking will be located on Park Place (West side along Town Green)
• This traffic pattern will be in place during the following dates and times:
o Friday: September 9,5:45pm – 11:00pm
o Saturday: September 10, 8:00am – 11:00pm
o Sunday: September 11, 8:00am – 6:00pm

FALL CLASSIC ROAD RACE
• Hemingway Avenue will be closed during the race. North bound traffic on Coe Avenue will be detoured east onto Short Beach Road (RTE 142) toward Branford and west bound traffic on Short Beach Road will be detoured south onto Coe Avenue to Silver Sands Road (RTE 337) to New Haven.
• Barricades will be placed at both Hemingway Avenue and Prospect Road intersections with Pennsylvania Avenue, Tyler Street and Edwards Street as local access only.
• Prospect Road will be closed at the intersection with Richmond Street and Frank Street as well as the intersection with Dodge Avenue.
• Iver Avenue will be closed at the intersection with Thompson Avenue.
• Dodge Avenue, east of Thompson Avenue, will be closed.
• Thompson Avenue, south of Dodge Avenue, will be closed.
• This traffic pattern will be in effect for the road race on September 10th between 8:30 am and 11:00 am.
