From The Bench: East Haven Girls Volleyball is Back on the Court!

I can tell you from a sports photographers view it felt good to see high school sports again. To hear the whistles, scoreboard buzzer and parents cheering on their kids. Monday night the East Haven girls volleyball team played a game against Whitney Tech and for the first time in many months nothing mattered but playing the game. We all have missed sports throughout this pandemic, however seeing the girls come out take the court and play ball could do nothing but help you feel good inside. As for the game itself East Haven won 3 to 0. Captain Carly Cordova of the East Haven yellow jackets had 11 kills to bring the jackets a victory. The following day against West Haven, in West Haven, the jackets won the contest 3-2. They are off to a 2-0 start with a tough opponent this evening Daniel Hand at Hand. We wish the girls all the best and we are sure that they will be giving us 100% on the court every day like they always do.
