East Haven Important Dates To Know
All veterans are invited to attend the service and take part in the walk to the Town Green.
From The Town of East Haven: The East Haven Veterans Council has announced that this year’s Veterans Day ceremonies will take place on Saturday November 11th , at the War Memorial on the East Haven Town Green beginning at 11:00 am.
At 10:45 am, the Veterans and various Town and State officials will be leaving American Legion Post 89 on Thompson Avenue and will proceed down Main Street to the Town Green to render Honors.
All veterans are invited to attend the service and take part in the walk to the Town Green. Of course, the public is encouraged to attend. Following the ceremony, all will be invited to the American Legion Post 89 Hall on Thompson Avenue for coffee and.

All Town offices and the Town Landfill will be closed on both Friday November 10th and Saturday November 11th in observance of Veterans’ Day. In order to accommodate residents, the Town’s Landfill will be open Wednesday (Nov 8th ) and Thursday (Nov 9th ) of that week. Landfill hours are 8:30 am until 3 pm. The Town’s Trash and Recycling pick-up will NOT be affected by either holiday and will be collected on their regular collection days.
