Report: An East Haven lifeguard helped to save two children at the town beach.

East Haven, CT - Two families are grateful that Shannon Wynne was working her lifeguard post at East Haven Town Beach back in May.
According to a report in The East Haven Courier, the recent East Haven High School graduate was on the job over Memorial Day at Town Beach when she noticed two youngsters in the water in distress.
The Courier reports that Wynne ran in, pulling one youngster to safety, while a second boy's mother pulled him out.

The children were only a few feet into the water at the time, she told the paper.
Neither child was injured in the incident.

Wynne has been a certified lifeguard with the town since the age of 16, and works at both the pool and the beach, according to the report.
