East Haven Man Sentenced For Shooting Dog And Burning His Home: Report
The length of the sentencing was agreed upon this week.

James Carangelo, accused of shooting his dog, setting his house on fire and allowing his cat to die, pleaded no contest yesterday to the charge of first-degree arson, the New Haven Register reports.
Carangelo will have to face six years in prison, however the charges of disorderly conduct, animal cruelty and failure to comply with a fingerprint request will be nolle under the plea arrangement.
Carangelo has been incarcerated since Jan. 3, 2011 when he was arrested after the fire at 220 Warner Road in East Haven, leaving about only one more year to serve after official sentencing on March 3, according to a report by the New Haven Register.
