East Haven Rotary Club's 'Anginette Wars' Sells Out
Proceeds from the event will go to the Rotary Club, now in its 78th year, which seeks to improve the community of East Haven.
From the East Haven Rotary Club: The East Haven Rotary Club has announced that their newest fundraiser entitled “Anginette Wars” on Thursday April 6th from 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm is now a complete sellout! Anginette Wars was previously hosted by St. Vincent de Paul School and will again be held in the St. Vincent de Paul Church Hall, 80 Taylor Avenue. As a result of the sellout, there will be NO tickets available at the door. In addition, the Club has also announced that all baker spots have been filled and they are no longer able to accept any further applications to participate.
Prizes will be awarded for: Best Tasting Cookie, Most Decorative Cooke and Most Creative Table Display. The judges are: Author Anthony Riccio (Italian Women of CT); Missy Antonelli, owner of Sweet Mary’s Bakery; TV Chefs-Identical Twin Sisters, Judy & Joy (Food Network Channel Winners, Cookbook Authors and guest appearances on “The Talk” and Dr. Oz shows along with regular appearances on WTNH Weekend Morning News).
Spectators can purchase tickets to vote; partake in some appetizers; enter the Rotary’s raffle for prizes which include Yankees tickets and of course enjoy the cookies!

Proceeds from the event will go to the club, now in its 78th year, which remains dedicated and committed to improving the community and citizens of East Haven. Through its annual scholarship program and Student of the Month, the club recognizes and encourages achievement of high school students. Amber Alert Identification Cards, Clothe the Children, Free Thanksgiving Dinners delivered and Breakfast with Santa and the Easter Bunny for children are some of its other volunteer activities.
