East Haven Student Inducted Into Lasell University Honor Society

Isabella Raffone, a Lasell University student from East Haven (06512) was inducted into the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation's student honor society on February 10.

Program Chair and Associate Professor of Sport Management Bill Nowlan nominated Raffone for their academic excellence and achievements in the field of sport management.

Raffone was recognized for their achievement by the larger COSMA community at the organization's annual conference. Nowlan submitted a 30-second nomination video acknowledging their accomplishments; the videos were shown at the virtual induction ceremony.

"A lot of good things will come from this," said Nowlan. "Students in the COSMA Honor Society get direct access to sport management industry updates, job accreditation information, and internship and job possibilities. It is a huge advantage for when they apply for jobs or graduate school."

In addition, the five inducted students were able to attend the full COSMA conference for free, and received a pin and certificate confirming their achievement.
