East Haven Will Once Again Have a Police Dog
The police department has not had a dog since 2012.

The East Haven Police Department will be bringing back its canine program, the New Haven Register reports.
Chief of Police Brent Larrabee told the paper the department has the funds and has selected the breeder. The dog will be chosen in January.
The new canine officer will be John Finnimore, the paper reports. Finnimore and the dog will go through training at the Connecticut State Police K-9 Academy for 14-16 weeks beginning in February.
