Hagaman Library Says Employee Tests Positive, Public Not Exposed

Hagaman will have reduced hours through Saturday, but says people using the library have not been exposed to COVID-19.

EAST HAVEN, CT —A Hagaman Memorial Library staff member tested positive for COVID-19, but no one using the library has been exposed to the disease as a result, according to a media release from library officials.

Due to a library employee testing positive for Covid-19, the Hagaman Memorial Library has taken safety measures with its employees. The measures taken by the Library impacts its employees; the public using the Library has not been exposed to Covid-19. The Library will have reduced hours for Wednesday April 7 - Saturday, April 10. The Library will be open for curbside service from 1:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, and 1:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Staff will be answering phones and taking requests for the curbside pickup of materials. The Computer Lab can be scheduled in the afternoons on Friday and Saturday. Fax and photocopying services will be taken on a case by case basis. The Library will move towards the further resumption of hours and services for the week of April 12-17.
