Mayor, Officials Attend Ribbon Cutting For Papa's Wings & Seafood
After opening in late May during the pandemic, the Main Street eatery owned by James Green had an official ribbon cutting ceremony.

EAST HAVEN, CT —James Green had taken a job driving for Lyft and Uber, to help make ends meet, and found himself in East Haven when he saw the storefront with a for rent sign he told Patch back in early June.
The 240 Main St., location was the former home of Fish Ahoy. Green stopped his car and took down the number. And when he saw that the location was next to Food Network "Cupcake Wars" winner and East Haven legend Sugar — where his wife Ernestine has previously purchased cupcakes for special occasions — he knew "this was the place."

Now, months later, there was an official ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor Joseph A. Carfora, state Rep. Joe Zullo, members of the chamber of commerce, town economic development director Ray Baldwin, and Green's family on hand.

Carfora shared his visit to Papa's on his Facebook in June declaring the food there "great." He has since popped into a number of local restaurants, diners, and deli's, ordered food and then shared his experience on Facebook and Instagram.
