Memorial Day Parade Canceled, But Still Honor The Sacrifices

The Veteran's Council will be placing flags and wreaths on grave sites and on the Town Green.

EAST HAVEN, CT — The East Haven Veteran’s Council and Office of the Mayor announced Monday that Memorial Day festivities have been canceled for this year owing to COVID-19.

Mayor Joseph A Carfora posted on Facebook that the Veteran’s Council will be placing flags on the graves in the week prior and wreaths will be placed at the War Memorials on the Town Green on May 25. Carfora said there's a "possibility of a Memorial Day Flyover," but noted that details will follow.
