Obituary: Ann Lucille DelliFranci Zacks 93, of East Haven

Ann Lucille DelliFranci Zacks, 93, of East Haven beloved wife of 69 years to the late John L. Zacks Jr, passed away from this life and into The Light of Our Lord on April 16, 2021 in Yale New Haven Hospital St. Raphael Campus with her children by her side.

Loving mother of Richard (Rene) Zacks of East Haven, David (Cathy) Zacks of Ansonia and the late John L. Zacks III who passed in 1964. Grandmother of Jason (Alicia) Zacks, Justin Zacks and Ashley Alvarez all of East Haven. Ann was also survived by 5 great grandchildren several nieces and nephews and her former daughter-in-law Laura Zacks who helped with her care. Sister of Annette (Stanley) Seadale of Wallingford and the late Elsie Spencer and Joseph DelliFranci Jr.

Ann was born in Hamden on December 14, 1927 daughter of the late Giuseppe and Giuseppina Guarino DelliFranci Sr.

Ann's greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Through the years she and her late husband John spent many hours on their boat with their children and later grandchildren enjoying the Cape. Ann loved to host holidays, with Christmas being her favorite. She was known for her famous Maple Walnut and Icebox cakes that were a favorite at every occasion. Ann was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who held a deep faith and love of God. Her church family was a great support in that faith.

Family and friends are invited to a service in the Grace Reformed Baptist Church located at 1225 North High St. East Haven on FRIDAY morning at 10:00. Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park. THERE WILL BE NO CALLING HOURS. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice in the name of Ann L. Zacks. Arrangements are in care of the PORTO FUNERAL HOME 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80) East Haven.
