Obituary: Mary Dengler, 70, of East Haven

Beloved mother and grandmother, she had worked as a CNA for the VNA of Guilford prior to retiring.

Mary Dengler of East Haven died Sunday June 20, 2021 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Thomas Dengler. Mary was born in New Haven December 23, 1950, daughter of the late John and Gloria Piasecki Iaquessa.

She had worked as a CNA for the VNA of Guilford prior to retiring.

Besides Thomas, she is survived by her children, Tammy DeLeo (Robert Welton) of East Haven, John Pellegrino (Stephanie Whitworth) of East Haven, Mark (Danielle) Pellegrino of Cheshire, Amy (Brian) Iaquessa-Keith of New Haven, Carrie Ann Iaquessa of New Haven and Thomas Iaquessa of East Haven, her grandchildren, Joshua, Scott, Jr., Angelina, Johnny III, Jada, David, Natalia, Gloria, Tyler (Guy), Aubrey and Gabriella; and her brothers, John, Michael, Robert and Thomas Iaquessa. She was predeceased by her brother Ronald Iaquessa.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours Sunday afternoon from 4:00 – 6:00 at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, and may attend a Mass of Christian Burial Monday morning at 11:00 in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 355 Foxon Road, East Haven. Burial will be private.
