Obituary: Paulette K. Sundwall Prohaska, 71, of East Haven

Paulette K. Sundwall Prohaska, 71, of East Haven passed away March 15, 2021 in CT Hospice surrounded by her loving family. Wife of the late Henry A. Prohaska, Jr. Beloved mother of Henry A. (Laura) Prohaska, III and Nicole Leigh Prohaska all of East Haven. Cherished grandmother of Dylan Henry and Ellie Sophia Prohaska. She was predeceased by her brothers, Paul, James, Robert and Ronald Sundwall. Paulette was born in New Haven on March 25, 1949, a daughter of the late Paul K. and Catherine Madigan Sundwall.

She moved to West Haven then spent the last 50 plus years in East Haven. Paulette loved dancing on the West Haven Boardwalk with her friends “The Beach Bums”, vacationing in Cape Cod with her late husband, gardening, and spoiling her grandchildren and bulldog Axel. She loved cooking and baking especially her holiday treats such as her anginettes, upside down pineapple cake and her famous chicken soup.

Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte 80) East Haven Friday morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
