Obituary: Ruth Piscitelli, 89, of East Haven
Ruth, hard-working, compassionate and always dedicated to her family, loved to knit, crochet, paint, draw and play piano.

EAST HAVEN, CT - (From Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home) Ruth Piscitelli, 89, of East Haven, formerly of North Haven died April 7th at CT Hospice.
Born in New Haven, daughter of the late John & Rose Wilkie Porter, she was the loving wife of the late Jerry Piscitelli Sr. Ruth’s family was everything to her.
The hard work and dedication of support to her husband and family’s successes provided a lifetime of fulfillment and happiness. These qualities led her on a path of becoming a compassionate caregiver for others.

She was the matriarch of the family giving her wisdom, love and joy to everyone she touched. In her spare time, Ruth loved to knit and crochet.
Every child, grandchild and great grandchild benefited from the beautiful hats, blankets, slippers, and mittens she made for each of them.

She was also very artistic. Drawing and painting with her grandchildren were special moments.
She sang and played the piano and taught anyone willing to learn.
She is survived by sons; John Piscitelli of FL., Jerry ( Johanna) Piscitelli Jr. of Wallingford, Dominic (Donald Pozo) of FL., and James (Ann Marie) Piscitelli of North Haven. Daughters; Karen Blaser of GA. & Donna (Joseph) Consiglio of East Haven.
Grandchildren; John Jr., Christopher, Jerry III, Catherine, Jocelyn, Rick, Jeffrey, Nicole, Shaun, Michelle, Christopher, Christine, Kellie, Laura, Dustin, Gina, Christopher & James Jr.
Great grandchildren; Jerry IV, Jaxon, Madison, Mackenzie, Belle, Michael, Matthew, Ava, Joseph, Porter & Phoebe. She was predeceased by a sister Sara Salvas.
Friends are asked to go directly to Our Lady of Pompeii Church MONDAY 10 A.M., for a Mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
Calling hours will be SUNDAY 3 - 5 P.M. in the Peter H. Torello & Son F.H., 1022 Dixwell Ave. Hamden.
