Obituary: Theresa Ruocco Redente, 90, of East Haven
Theresa, who loved a trip to the salon, worked at Cott Soda prior to retiring and was later a longtime volunteer for Connecticut Hospice.

Theresa Ruocco Redente of East Haven died Monday May 17, 2021 at Whispering Pines Nursing Center in East Haven. She was the wife of the late Joseph C. “Barney” Redente. Theresa was born in New Haven August 14, 1930, daughter of the late Alphonse and Evelyn Dooley Ruocco.
She had worked as a supervisor for accounts receivable with Cott Soda prior to retiring. Theresa volunteered at Connecticut Hospice for many years after retiring from Cott.
She is survived by her daughter Roseanne (Anthony) Fabrizio of East Haven; her grandchildren, Theresa (Ralph) Douston of East Haven and Roxanne Fabrizio of Stamford; her great-grandson Jacob Douston whom she adored; her sisters, Florence Sundwall of East Haven, Margaret Amore of Clinton, Kathy Riordan of Killingworth; and her brother Anthony Ruocco of Milford. She was predeceased by her son Michael (Yogi) Redente.
Theresa enjoyed nothing more than her visits to hair and nail salons. Once reunited with Barney I expect she will ask him to take her to the closest salons.
Her funeral will leave the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, Saturday morning at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Bosco Parish at St. Mary Church, 731 Main Street, Branford at 10:00.
Entombment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum, North Haven. Friends may call prior to the funeral from 8:30 – 9:30 at the funeral home.
