One World Roasters Cafe Adds Saturday Hours

EAST HAVEN, CT — One World Roasters, the organic coffee roastery and cafe located at 967 North High Street will be offering regular Saturday hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. starting Oct. 19.

The local business will be celebrating with two special events including their grand opening Saturday on Oct. 19 and a fall open house on Nov. 2.

Since opening its doors to the public in January, One World Roasters has become a favorite spot for locals and a destination for many coffee lovers well outside of East Haven.

“We’re excited to offer our coffees to residents who haven’t been able to visit the shop during weekday hours," co-owner Christine Ucich sais. "Many of our social media fans have been commenting that they can’t wait for these new Saturday hours..."

One World Roasters recently introduced their pumpkin spice latte, which owner Eric Ciolino is quick to point out, is made with actual pumpkin.

“So many of the pumpkin spice lattes people get at the big chains are just a bunch of syrup and artificial flavors; we think PSL lovers deserve better than that. We blend real pumpkin puree into the steamed milk we use for our lattes and the response has been very enthusiastic,” he said.

One World staff will be offering lessons on preparing their pumpkin spice latte at the grand opening Saturday event. Customers can stop in at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 1:30 p.m. to see demonstrations of how Ciolino and his baristas prepare their version of the popular fall drink and obtain a recipe they can use at home. One World Roasters also recently published a blog on the surprising history of the pumpkin spice latte which includes some surprising facts about it. The cafe’s other Saturday event, the fall open house on November 2nd, will offer a wide sampling of popular fall drinks including the roastery’s Harvest Spice Blend coffee, hot caramel apple cider, pumpkin spice lattes, vanilla chai lattes, spiced mocha lattes, and spiced hot chocolate.

In conjunction with One World Roaster’s open house, the cafe’s sister business, One World Wellness, located in the same building, will be offering a variety of Eastern wellness classes including deep belly breathing workshops, acupuncture seminars, and yoga and meditation classes.
