Police Thank Town For Meals, Masks, Support

East Haven police posted on Facebook showing their gratitude for the town's support amid the coronavirus pandemic.

EAST HAVEN, CT — East Haven police are taking the time to thank the public for the support they've received lately, from pizza to donuts, and thank you notes to protective masks.

"The pizza was delicious, the stuffed breads were amazing, the cannolis were yummy, the cookies were tasty, the coffee was delightful, the donuts were scrumptious and the prepared meals were fantastic," the police department said in a Facebook post.

Police said "we can't thank our residents enough for the love they have shown us" amid the dangers of the new coronavirus.

"The outpouring of support, whether you dropped off a mask, fed the evening shift, or dropped a simple 'Thank You' is so appreciated," police said.

They noted that it's "never been so evident that we are all in this together, and together, we will get through this."
