T.J. Maxx, Home Goods, Marshalls Reopen In East Haven
The businesses said customers are expected to wear face masks while shopping.
EAST HAVEN, CT — T.J. Maxx, Marshalls and Home Goods have reopened stores across Connecticut as of Monday, including near East Haven.
The three stores are owned by TJX Companies. In a statement, TJX Chief Executive Officer and president Ernie Herrman said the health of customers and staff remains a priority, so protective measures have been implemented in its stores.
"For our Associates, we are following newly established health protocols, including required use of face masks while working and implementing social distancing work practices," Herrman said in a statement, in part.

Here are the newly reopened stores in East Haven:
- T.J. Maxx — 68 Frontage Rd, East Haven
- Homegoods — 68 Frontage Rd, East Haven
- (Nearby) Marshalls — 2100 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden
In an earlier release, the company said it has also erected protective shields at cash registers, placed social distance markers in lines and enhanced cleaning and merchandise return procedures.

Lastly, Herrman said the company expects "all customers who shop in our stores to wear a face covering."
The company said its also screening workers each day for health and temperatures, limiting store occupancy and temporarily closing fitting rooms.
The three stores will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, according to WFSB.
