Wedding Bells At East Haven Town Hall On Valentine's Day

EAST HAVEN, CT — It's Valentine's Day and love is in the air… especially at East Haven Town Hall.

Earlier today, Mayor Joseph Maturo, Jr. served as a witness to the marriage of Abhishek Tiwari and his bride Rafaela Almonte. The ceremony was officiated by the Justice of Peace Tara L. Dymarczyk, before Maturo and his staff.

Following the ceremony, Maturo noted, "In my sixteen plus years as Mayor, I've had the privilege of being a part of a lot of great things. However, I've never been asked to serve as a witness to a couple's wedding. It was a great honor to be a part of the ceremony for Abhishek and Rafaela and I wish them both the best of luck for a happy, healthy, and prosperous life together."
