Weekend Breakfast, Lunch Approved For East Haven School Children
The state OK'd a request from the district and food service provider Sodexho to provide weekend breakfast and lunches for students.
EAST HAVEN, CT — The state has approved a request from the school district and schools food service provider Sodexho to provide weekend breakfast and lunch meals for East Haven school children, the superintendent's office confirmed Monday.
In a post to Facebook by the East Haven Academy Parent Teacher Organization, it was noted that meal bags containing two full breakfasts and two full lunches will be available for kids to take home each Friday at school dismissal time.
Each bag will contain instructions for food safety storage as well as heating instructions.
