Weekend Car Vs. Motorcycle Crash Injures 3: Police

After the Foxon Road crash, the driver of the car, the motorcycle driver and passenger were all hurt and taken to Yale New Haven Hospital.

EAST HAVEN, CT —A weekend crash involving a motorcycle and a car injured three people, police said.

Fire and police responded to the area of Foxon Road and Maple Street for a report of a motorcycle versus car accident, according to East Haven police Capt. Joseph M. Murgo.

Murgo said that police found a 2012 Harley Davidson, with driver and passenger, was traveling westbound on Foxon Road when it "collided" with a 2021 Honda Civic which was also traveling westbound.

A female passenger on the motorcycle was treated on scene by East Haven Fire Department personnel before being transported to Yale New Haven Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The operator of the motorcycle and driver of the Honda Civic were also treated on scene before being transported to Yale New Haven Hospital for evaluation. Current conditions of the parties involved are unknown at this time.

The South Central Connecticut Traffic Unit responded to the scene and have taken over the investigation. Foxon Road between Maple Street and Gay Street were closed for several hours as investigators worked the crash site.
