What You Need To Know About Saturday's Fireworks, East Haven
The do's and don'ts, road closures, parking, live music line-up, food truck info, times, and more to know about the 2021 fireworks event.
EAST HAVEN, CT —Saturday night, barring bad weather, fireworks will light up the night sky, and spirits. Scuttled last year due to the pandemic, many are looking forward to the pyrotechnic show missed in 2020. Should rain cancel the show, no worries, it'll be on for Monday, same time, same place.
“After the year we have had, I hope everyone can reconnect with their neighbors and civic organizations can get back to working towards their missions, but most of all, that our residents enjoy the entertainment we have planned," Mayor Joseph Carfora said.
"Community events are instrumental in building relationships with neighbors, visitors to the town, and creating a sense of pride for this wonderful town we live in," he said. "These events also provide a venue for families and residents to experience something they may not have on their own, such as a type of music and theater.”

Before the show, the National Anthem will be performed by Charlotte Delucia.
The fireworks will be set off from a barge anchored off of the East Haven Town Beach, so the display should be widely visible along the immediate shoreline.
About safety, beach rules and regulations, traffic and parking
The East Haven Police Department has been at work planning for the event and offer lots of good information, and heads-up on how to get there, where to park and more.
"Police will have a full complement of officers, uniformed and plain-clothed, working undercover assignments. Officers will be assisting with traffic and any emergencies that should arise. We ask that you enjoy the evening but please observe our beach regulations regarding alcohol consumption, open fires, grills and dogs – none of which are allowed. This event is attended by numerous families with children so please be mindful of your behavior to ensure fun times and great memories for all. Also remember to exercise patience as this event does get crowded and creates heavy traffic – our goal is to clear the streets as quickly and as safely as possible so your cooperation is greatly appreciated. The Fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:20 p.m. Parking is available at Momauguin School and other designated areas."
