Here’s How Much The Former Stratfield Market Sold For

A new use was recently announced for the former supermarket building, which has been vacant since 2006, in Fairfield.

FAIRFIELD, CT – The former Stratfield Market building at 1280 Stratfield Road in has sold to Summit Development LLC for $1.45 million, Brett A. Sherman, CCIM, Senior Vice President of Southport-based Angel Commercial, LLC, announced in a press release. The building has been vacant since 2006 when the Stratfield Market closed after being in business for more than 50 years.

Summit Development plans to redevelop the building for their new tenant, The Goddard School, a preschool franchise that will be opening in the fall of this year.

The 9,612-sqaure-foot two-story commercial building is on 0.90 acres of land in the Stratfield Section of Fairfield. It is at four-way signalized intersection on the corner of Stratfield Road and Fairfield Woods Road.
