Final 2025 Election Results Released In Fairfield
Votes were recounted Tuesday for three Representative Town Meeting districts. Two candidates ended up with the same number of votes.

FAIRFIELD, CT ? With the conclusion of Tuesday's recount of districts 1, 3 and 8 of Fairfield's Representative Town Meeting, two candidates in District 8 ended up with the same number of votes, according to the final vote tally released by the town. See below.
Democrat Lenny Braman and Republican Christine Ludwiczak both received 681 votes, which means representatives from that district will choose which of the two will serve, as outlined by this provision in the Town Charter:
"In case of a tie vote affecting the election of RTM members, the other newly elected and reelected members from the district in which the tie vote occurs shall by ballot determine which of the tied candidates shall serve as RTM member or members."

Fairfield Town Clerk Betsy Browne told Patch that her office is scheduling the meeting of the District 8 representatives to make that decision, which she said will occur before the RTM's organizational meeting for the upcoming term.
The swearing-in ceremony for all the newly elected candidates is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 17, in the auditorium at Fairfield Warde High School.
