Historic Home To Be Auctioned In Fairfield

The 250-year-old renovated Colonial estate will be sold to the highest bidder.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A historic home in Fairfield will be sold to the highest bidder in an auction later this month. Global auction firm Concierge Auctions will sell the private estate, located at the end of a cul-de-sac on North Cedar Road, according to a news release. Bidding for the 13-acre property, which will be held via the firm’s online marketplace, will open digitally Jan. 29 and close at a live auction at The Phoenician, a luxurious resort in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Originally built in 1734, the 7,080-square-foot, seven-bedroom estate was previously listed for $1.895 million and will sell Without Reserve in cooperation with Darlene Letersky of Fine Homes USA, according to the news release.

“This stately Colonial estate wears its historical charm proudly with hand-hewn beams, wide plank hardwood floors, and antique stone fireplaces, yet it has the feel of a modern home,” according to its listing on Realtor.com. “Get cozy by the fire with a good book. Spend long summer days lounging by the pool or practice your serve on the indoor or outdoor court. Invite guests to stay in the private cottage. Come home to all the amenities your modern life requires at 405 North Cedar Road.”
