1 Killed, 1 Injured In Separate Shootings In Hamden: Police
The shootings happened early Sunday morning in Hamden, according to police.
HAMDEN, CT — One man was killed and another was injured in separate shootings early Sunday morning in Hamden, according to police.
At around 1:50 a.m., police responded to the report of a shooting that happened in the parking lot of 940 Dixwell Avenue, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.
Police found that a 29-year-old man was shot and taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital where he would be undergoing surgery, Smith said. At least one vehicle was struck by bullets and several gunshots were fired at the scene, according to Smith.

Then at around 3:15 a.m., while police were investigating the shooting, officers heard multiple gunshots coming from the area of Hamden Park Drive, according to Smith.
Smith said police found a man with multiple gunshot wounds lying in the road. Hamden Fire Rescue rendered medical assistance and the man was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to Smith.
