Missing Ferret Found Sleeping In Restaurant: Hamden Police

The ferret was found safe in the restaurant's lobby after "being on the run for five days," according to police.

HAMDEN, CT — A ferret that was missing for five days was found sleeping in the lobby of a restaurant in Hamden, according to police.

“Sushi,” a male ferret, escaped from his home on Mix Avenue on July 3. After “being on the run for five days,” he was found sleeping in the restaurant on Thursday, according to Capt. Ronald Smith.

Sushi was taken to a veterinarian and was found to be “relatively healthy,” Smith said.

Sushi has since been returned to his Mix Avenue home.
