‘Bud’ Needs A Home: Hamden Animal Control
"The last thing we want is for his sun to set while still in our care. He deserves so much more," the animal control wrote about Bud.

HAMDEN, CT — The Hamden Animal Control is asking for help with finding a new home for a dog that has been in their care for nearly 11 months. Officials said Bud, pictured, is “truly a great dog” and his past 11 months would have been better spent in the safety of a loving home.
Next week will officially mark 11 months that Bud has been in the care of the Hamden Animal Control. Bud, along with Hamden’s other adoptable dogs, recently visited the Wallingford Animal Shelter for some fun in the snow.
“Our senior boy has travelled around the sun 11, possibly 12 times,” the Hamden Animal Control wrote in a post on Facebook. “The last thing we want is for his sun to set while still in our care. He deserves so much more.

“Ask the staff and volunteers at Wallingford Animal Control about how awesome Bud is. How he loves to put on his orange harness and go for walks. I can tell you how happy and gentle he was going to the animal hospital for a recent surgery. He is just the best boy, it’s that simple.
“Bud does need to be an only pet (no cats or dogs) which, of course, is another hiccup in finding him a home. But I know there is someone out there for him. They just haven’t seen the right post or walked into the right shelter yet. I know they’re out there, please help us find them.”
