Coronavirus Vaccination Month In Hamden

Hamden, CT - The Town of Hamden and Mayor Curt Balzano Leng have declared April 2021 as “Vaccination Month” in the Town of Hamden. This proclamation coincides with the Governor’s directive to expand the scope of residents eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine to all Connecticut residents ages 16 and above as of April 1st, 2021.

Mayor Leng commented, “I am highly encouraging all Hamden residents, and really everyone everywhere, to make an appointment and get the COVID-19 vaccine. It’s time to put this pandemic behind us and move forward. The best way to do that is to get vaccinated, and to do it quickly and early. I thank all of our partners, I thank the Governor, the President, and all of our folks on the front-lines working every day on our behalf.”

Individuals may schedule an appointment with a number of vaccine providers, and Eligible residents can find a vaccination site by visiting ct.gov/covidvaccine, typing their zip code into the top right-hand box, and clicking "GO"., and should utilize the State of Connecticut “Vaccine Portal” for complete information on how, when, and where to obtain your COVID-19 vaccination. The State portal, which contains vast amounts of information regarding COVID-19, can be found at portal.ct.gov/Vaccine-Portal.
